who is Jess Gorick, what is Graphic Onions?

I’m a freelance motion designer based in London, Graphic Onions is my handle. I offer bespoke graphic solutions for digital media. Including concept, design and direction for Music Videos, Commercials, Promos, Idents, and Title Sequences.

Having studied Fine Art at university I decided to change direction and self taught myself design & animation. Further honing my skills and experience whilst working freelance and a designer for a host of prestigious agencies including; ITV, Metropolis-Group, <kpe> and Abbey Road.

For the last 6 years I have been working out of a shared studio space in Shoreditch, as well as in-house at post production outfit Time Based Arts and the international design agency Wolff Olins.

My skill set includes the usual Adobe suite, Cinema 4D: modelling, creating, rigging & expresso as well as PFtrack and Mocha Pro. I very much enjoy problem solving and creating systems or rigs that can be used to produce content on mass.
